The 2013 Silver Britannia contains the highest silver content of any British coin in history - 999/1000 purity. This coin was produced in a strictly limited edition and only 350,000 were released for sale to the general public. Its workmanship is assured by a mint that has traditionally set standards for over one thousand years and its investment value is unquestionable. This is the first British coin in living memory to feature a rim-struck image. There will not be another edition of this coin - ever. You are offerding on the exact coin pictured above, the second of twenty from The British Royal Mint, taken from the sealed mint tube #1YVO17716 (the security seal provided by the Royal Mint). This specific coin is #BLS1307 (my ID number for this coin). As such, it shows no flaws to the naked eye. As to its technical grade; I\'m not a qualified judge. I imagine it to be of perfect proof quality - but I can\'t say this with authority - I don\'t work for PCGS or NGC and cannot guarantee that I\'m right about this. This is an unprecedented event in the history of the Royal Mint and I have prepared the best presentation I could for it. It comes in the only direct fit capsule available world wide (the Royal Mint itself does not offer this). All available Air-tite varieties come in 38mm or 39mm. This coin is 38.6mm. The down side is that it does not display the exclusive snake privy on the rim. Unlike my previous offerings, the coin is surrounded by a black collar inside the slab (the others were dark green). The advantage to this system is that is protects this important coin completely and shows it beautifully. Please understand that, although this is essentially the same slab used by NGC and PCGS, it is not permanently sealed - but, of course; this also means that you can open it and feast your eyes on the history making rim.Important Disclaimer
