This new unit has been engineered to further reduce the bill of materials, making it more affordable. With the new base plate combining the comparator bracketand hopper, it creates a precision\"plug in and sort\" unit. This is not a kit, and requires no tedious setup, no mounting ona cardboard box, and no sloppy wiring.

The new base plate features rubber feet, and spring loaded latch clips for easy comparator removal. It is made with precision laser cutcarbon steel sheet,then carefully folded to the exact specifications.It further undergoes a zinc plating process for a long liveddurable and attractive finish.

About the new kicker...

Ryedale sorters do a fine job of separating accepted coins from rejected coins. Some have wanted it to do a more pronounced kick to the right. I added the kicker on the precision cut acrylic on the bottom of the new SIDEKICK unit. If you prefer the trajectory of the coins to be more straight down, you can simply remove the kicker wedge by removing the 2 screws. Very simple. Genuine Ryedale sorters are made differently and do not need the bent upmetal separator that others are offering. The \"sorters\" that require this are using used coin comparators which were engineered for a slot machine or pinball game.They do a poor jobon the precision task of rapid coin separation.

This unit sorts out US Copper Cents from the mix of 95%Copper and newer 97% Zinc based Cents. It isnot engineered to sort Quarters or Halves... and is not optimized for dimes.

UNIT is Engineered to Sort either US and Canadian Cents, or US and Canadian Nickels. No real need to sort US nickels yet, but Canadian Users may like this machine to get 1981 and older PURE NICKEL NICKELS, which are worth more than their Face Value.
