2015 $20 FINE SILVER COIN AMERICAN SPORTFISH: WALLEYE
The third release in the Royal Canadian Mint’s exciting new series of 99.99% pure silver coins celebrating Canadian sportfish features the darkness-loving walleye.
The reverse design by Canadian artist Curtis Atwater presents a portrait of a walleye in pursuit of its prey. Facing the viewer, the fish lunges toward two shiners on the rocky bottom of a body of water. Its sharp teeth, large mouth and eyes, and spiny front dorsal fin are showcased to stunning effect as its tail arcs to the right side of the image.
SPECIAL FEATURES- Third issue in the Royal Canadian Mint’s new four-coin series featuring popular sportfish in their natural habitat.
