Please scroll downunder this description for additional views. Please email with anyquestions. Gorgeous old Cypress knee, probably a souvenir of a trip to Florida back in the 1950\'s. These were sometimes sold at a roadside stand by some enterprising indiviual who would find them, clean and lacquer them for tourists. This old example measures 23\" tall and the base is roughly 12\" by 12\"- hard to be exact on this odd shape. It does have an old worn coat or shellac or lacquer with some worn spots a couple of small white paint spots and some knicks up one side. It has a lovely antique walnut color. It has a beautiful scuptural quality with interesting burls and gnarls and other sections that undulate like flowing cloth. Stunning indoors or out- imagine this rising up from a Japanese-inspired garden.
