Beautiful 24\" George BorgfeldtBisque Head Child Doll with composition and woodball jointed body, original mohairwig and blue glass sleep eyes.
CONDITION: Overallgood condition. Body needs attention. Perfect bisque head with NO chips, cracks or repairs. Marked Germany, G.B. on the head.She has beautiful clear paperweight blue glass sleep eyes that open and close easily with painted upper and lower lashes.She has a lovely face withvery good facial coloring,original rosy blush on her cheeks, multi stroke molded eyebrows, red accent dots on inner corners of her eyes and beneath her nostrils. She has an open mouth with four upper teeth. Her lips are a lovely shade of deep red/burgundy and there is a dimple in her chin. BODY: As you can see from the photos her body does have some issues. It\'s all original but appears to have been exposed to moisture at some time. However, it is solid and stable. The left armhole has been reinforced with a metal fitting. Her arms have been strung too tightly causing a crack beneath her arm. The metal fitting is to keep her shoulder from being drawn too far into the torso. The original fitting is still there but has fallen into the body. There\'s some flaking on the back of her heels consistent with age. Fingers are in very good condition. I\'ll leave it up to the buyer to decide if restoration is necessary. She displays quite well as isand she will hold a pose easily.
