DESCRIPTION:

We are pleased to offer you this \"beautiful\" German bisque head doll. This doll measures 24\" tall incised with \"H (size number) 4 and K along with (mold number) 29. Reference attributes to German maker Karl Hartmann located in Stockheim, upper Franconia, Germany from 1908-1926. They made lovely bisque head Dolly faced child dolls on composition jointed bodies. This doll is a bisque socket head on nicely strung, composition wood doll body. She displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand. Body has original finish, she is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers and toes intact, outlined with lines for a realistic look. Body shows some overall wear, scuffs, paint loss for being 100 or so years old but nothing terrible. This doll has a \"Gorgeous\" and \"Expressive\" face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, painted black lashes around the eyes, retains wax on the eye lids, brush stroked brown brows, beautiful coloring on her \"near perfect\" face with open mouth, defined lips, four upper teeth. There is a faint little dimple in the chin. I flashed inside her bisque head and do not see any cracks,there is plaster cement inside that was used to secure the eyes on a rocker mount as most doll manufactures do. Wears replacement brunette wig with sausage curls that slips over a pate on her head. Her clothing is antique, possibly some original, in Turn of the Century style. Her coat dress has hooks down the front, a little bit of discoloration and age wear, you may wish to do a light cleaning, I do not know her past history, this may be from display. Her long white gown under her coat dress is beautiful and clean with lace and embroidery trim, it hooks down the back. She wears two long slips, one piece undies, stockings and replacement shoes. She wears a white bonnet with lace trim on her head. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
