Up for sale is Courtney and Friends. This 25-inch porcelain doll is by German master artist Hildegard Gunzel.
This doll is marked no. 21 of a limited edition on the back of her neck.
The back of her breastplate is marked Hildegard Gunzel & Alexander Doll Co.Her head, arms, and legs are porcelain on a cloth body. The head is able to swivel.
This doll has a long blonde human hair wig, beautiful blue glass eyes, and upper eyelashes as well as delicately painted features.She has her original outfit and comes with a cloth pouch that contains two eight-inch hard vinyl Madame Alexander dolls in matching original outfits. The small dolls have working open/close eyes.A very slight discoloration is noted to her white smock where the smaller dolls lie against the smock. It\'s so slight that it\'s almost imperceptible, and it does not detract from the overall appearance of the doll.
The Courtney doll presents beautifully. No damage is noted, and overall, this is a nice, clean doll. Please keep in mind that this is a vintage doll.Please see our photos and judge the condition for yourself.The doll includes the hang tag, certificate of authenticity, and stand.This doll is a high-end quality doll. A price tag that accompanied this doll listed the price at $1150 at one time.The original box is included and has some wear/damage.
