among my great aunt fanny elizabeth\'sjewelry are these faux ivory beads. i don\'t know if they are carved oxen or a man made product. according to her journal she acquiredthem in brighton, england around the turn of the century. the original clasp was gold, but wore out. so she put the necklace aside. then in the 1950\'s for her 80th birthday, her daughter added the silver beads to make the necklace 30\". she wore them constantly until they broke. unfortunately they had not been knotted, and some were never retrieved. so now i measured what\'s left which comes out to about 25\". i do not know if the silver beads are sterling or plated. the ivory beads measure, 10 mm. from photos i see she wore a bone carved rose pin on her lapel. it is damaged. one of the petals chipped off. fairlydifficult to see, not overly noticeable, but there it is. also i found a small ring in the box. thought i would add it in. size, 5. it is 5 mm wide. the rose measures, 1 1/2\" across and 7/8\" high. the clasp is original. you must remember these were inexpensive back then. note how tight the grain is. i promise you\'\'ll very happy with your purchase.I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE STATES.
