This prettygirl is 26” tall. Her head is turned tothe right. The has a kid leather body.

Her shoulder plate is marked.

“M. Made in Germany”

I believe that she is an early KestnerDoll from the 1880’s

She came with a picture and a small notethat said

“1884 – Eva’s”

She is in good condition. She has beautiful original brown open closeeyes with painted upper and lower lashes, multi stroke stacked early brows. Hermouth is open and she has four teeth showing.She a dimple on her chin. She hasporcelain hands. Two fingers on her left hand are chipped. She has a kidleather body that bends at the elbows and knees.

I believe that she has her originalcurly hair blond wig. The wig is gluedto her head plate. Her hair will need styling.

She is wearing heroriginal clothing.

Shehas on an antique undershirt with lace trim neckline, it closes with fourmother of pearl buttons down the back. Ithas four mother of pearl buttons to attach the skirt to one in the back one onboth sides and one in the front it also has two antique safety pens that areholding a stocking holder. She has awool type material under skirts that attaches in the front to one of thebuttons and buttons in the back. She has an antique red dress with a lacecollar and white trim at the top of the bodice and two rows of white trim atthe bottom of the skirt. The dress fastens with seven hooks it all appears tobe original with the date of the doll.

Herbisque head is in great condition. Nocracks or chips. Her eyes still open andclose very well and appear to be set correctly.The paint on the inside of her closed eye has rubbed off on her lefteye. The enamel on one tooth ismissing. Her blond hair is curly andwill need styling. There is some glue residue around the top of her head. The name Ramsey is written in in the back ofher head.

Shehas porcelain hands. Two of her fingers onher left hand are chipped.

Herkid leather body is in good condition. Herarms are properly sewn at the shoulder. Her front knee bends have been repairedwith cloth at one time. The stitching atthe back of her knees is coming loose. There are scratch marks on the lower portionof her legs.

Herclothing is in excellent condition all the buttons and fasteners are inplace. She also has some antiquestocking holders. She does not havestockings or shoes.

Iwas told when I got her that she original came from the Ramsey’s estate in theNew England area. She belonged to alittle girl named Eva. The picture ofthe little girl and the note came with her.The note was tucked into her dress.

Sheis a wonderful doll a great treasure of bygone days.

Shecomes from a non-smoking household. Shehas no odors of any kind.
