Up forsale is a pre-owned \"vintage\" White Brothers Factory Forks XC-4 cross countrymountain bike fork. This is my boyfriend\'s so here is his description of it:
Back in the late 1990s I was racing mountain bikes and one of my sponsors was White Brothers. From 1997-2001 I raced with four different forks. It was California courses and all cross country, so none of the forks ever got too much wear and tear. This red slider model was used for one season only (1999). The fork brace is machined for attaching bosses for caliper brakes and they are included.
This fork was recently serviced by the good people at Mountain Racing Products (MRP) in Grand Junction, CO. (my two XC-4s were sent back recently and upgraded with new air spring seals, o-rings and wipers - what a difference! Such an improvement in performance that I\'m keeping the second one). As they were checking the air springs after the upgrade they noticed no leaking, but I noticed a very gradual leak in the left leg. Not so much that I noticed it only after any of several 1-2 hour rides. I always check my pressure before every ride, and recommend you do also. Manual included. The baseplate in the photo is for a Chris King no-thread headset, which is included. Will ship in it\'s original shipping box.
