DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a larger size German Simon & Halbig K * R Doll. Doll is incised on the back of her bisque head \"Simon & Halbig, K * R\", with number 73 below neckline. Doll measures 27\" tall being a bisque socket with composition wood jointed body. Body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. Lots of wear on her fingers. She is strung fine and displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand. Body has the original finish with overall wear, scuffs, line crazing cracks and chips, with some paint loss for being 100 or so. I notice her right foot shows line crack repair, all together intact but I need to mention. Body is a little rough in areas but together, a good German body. This doll has a \"expressive\" face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, her upper hair eye lashes are sparse on the right eye lid. She has painted lashes around her eyes, raised molded brown brows, open mouth with upper teeth and tongue, a faint little dimple in her chin. Wonderful rose color blush on her face. She has pierced ears and is wearing blue and white drop earrings. She is wearing a long dark blonde synthetic wig that slips over a pate. I flashed around her head and do not see any hairlines or cracks. Doll wears a vintage velvet and lace coat dress with matching bonnet, full slip, pantaloons, stockings and shoes. This is a lovely antique German doll for collection or display! Enjoy her as she is or do a little restoration! I have taken plenty of photos.
