DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for a larger size antique bisque head doll by German maker. Doll is incised \"513\" with the number \"15\" below it on the back of her head. My reference \"12th Blue Book\", page 75, shows a photo of this doll possibly made by Bahr & Proschild, 1888+, Germany. From a doll estate I will describe her the best I can with any flaws. Measures 27\" tall being a bisque socket head with jointed composition wooden body. Strung fine she displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand, doll is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrist, legs and knees with all fingers and toes intact. Fingers and toes have red accent lines for that realistic look. Normal overall wear, scuffs, a little paint loss for being 100 or so years old but a good German body. Doll has a \"sweet\" face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, upper eye wax has worn off, she has upper hair lashes on the eye lids, brush stroked molded painted brown brows, open mouth with upper teeth, molded tongue, lovely blush on her face, faint rub on left cheek, a beautiful face. She has pierced ears but is not wearing earrings. I flashed the head and do not see any cracks or hairlines, there is plaster cement inside that was used to secure the sleepy eyes on rocker as most doll people do. She wears a soft brown vintage fiber wig that slips over a pate on her head. An older wig with a few hairs out of place but charming. Wears antique drop waist dress that buttons down the back, it has a ribbon tie. A charming dress with a few stains, discoloration and overall wear, there is a half slip, pantaloons, stockings and antique shoes. Overall wear on all of her clothing, there is a bonnet on her head. There is a necklace around her neck. This is a \"beautiful\" old doll for collection or display! A nice example of mold \"513\" which is not found very often. I have taken plenty of photos.
