Howdy folks!
I recently bought a huge collection of vintage comics - including this stack of 28 CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED and CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED JUNIOR! INCLUDING 6 RARE FIRST PRINTINGS!!!!!Please check out the listing below and all the pix for all the cool stories included in this lot!
As far as conditions go... I try to be an honest seller - unlike those who simply say \"look at the pictures to make your own judgement\" (while knowing full well there are many imperfections that aren\'t conveyed in the limited # of pictures), so I\'m going to tell you straight up, there are probably at least a few decent Mid Grades in VG to maybe Fine, but MOST are going to be lower grade copies in Good or even lower conditions... great for reading copies or maybe hole fillers until nicer condition copies come along... but these are NOT high grade copies in VF or NM conditions... I\'ve unbagged and pictured every issue. I\'ve painstakingly gone through and listed most any major grading factors that I noticed below... I\'m not listing every crease or minor chip and it\'s possible I missed some major imperfections, but I\'m not going to try and grade each individual issue... just trying to give you a decent idea of actual conditions - I want you to be happy with the lot! :)
All are bagged and a few are also boarded... some of the bags are rather old...
I\'m not going to try to figure out what printing each issue... but I believe I identified all the FIRST PRINTINGS and I have provided the hrn (highest reorder #) so you can research further if it matters to you... I can tell you 23 issues are 15 centers, 4 are 25 centers and there\'s a 35 cent special issue of War Between the States (15 cent era - but jumbo sized) ... I presume all are US editions based on the cover prices...

CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED JUNIOR513 - Pinocchio (hrn550) - low grade, # and writing on cover and inside back cover, chipping, staining
515 - Johnny Appleseed (hrn530) - low grade, # on cover, 6\" tear on 1st page
546 - The Elves and the Shoemaker (hrn545/FIRST PRINTING!) - low grade, # written and date stamp on cover, scribble on inside cover... cheaper than a $35 high grade copy...
555 - The 3 Golden Apples (hrn556/FIRST PRINTING! ) - # written on cover o/w decent shape... cheaper than a $42 high grade copy...
As I said, most of these books are not in great shape... but with high grade copies of some of these books listing for up to $100-$200+ each... I figure a starting price of less than $3 apiece is reasonable - as reading copies or hole fillers... with a couple decent issues...
