Up for sale is 3 salad plates from the Greenbriar Hotel (owned by Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad)

This china was styled by famed New York City designer Dorothy Draper for the renowned, national historic landmark resort Greenbrier Hotel - owned by the C&O Railroad in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Greenbrier sits atop of a now decommissioned cold-war era 100,000 + sq. ft underground bunker built to house members of Congress.

 

These plates were made by Syracuse China. Other manufacturers such as Shenango China, Mayer and Homer laughlin also made this pattern.

Beautiful large pink Rhododendron flower & green leaves in center, with a wide green band around the edge.

These plates each measure 8 1/4\" across. All 3 plates are in great condition with no chips or cracks. Each has a minor manufacturing imperfection (see pics). Backstamped Syracuse China as shown.
