with emerald-cut amethyst glass stones
beautifully mounted in gold-plated frames

The glass stones have an elegant sparkle and gleam, and whatever color you wear these with will subtly show through, thanks to the open-back settings. Each one measures 3/4\" x 5/8\", and they\'re in excellent condition with only a teensy bit of wear, nothing obvious.

The back of the clips are marked with patent number 2021200 filed on April 30, 1934. From reading the patent, I discovered these aren\'t just a pretty pair of dress clips but are also designed to be ornamental holders for securing a single stem or sprig of blossoms to a dress, hat, or shoulder strap. Unlike standard dress clips which clamp flat and would therefore smash a flower stem, likely ruining your garment, the backs of these are curved, and that curve is where you would slide a stem or two before clipping it to your garment. Now that I know that, I\'ll have to get some flowers so I can take a picture to show you...but in the meantime, I hope you can imagine just how lovely this will look ♥
