Description: This long, pretty lady is a patent washable doll, circa the late 1800s. I was told that her shoulder head is papier mache. She has an oil cloth-type body and upper legs and red cloth fabric lower legs with booties on her feet. She is 32\" in length.
She has brown glass paperweight blown glass eyes accented with single stroke upper and lower lashes and a closed mouth. Her brows are also quite detailed and there\'s a dimple at her chin. She wears a blonde mohair wig.
She comes wearing a modern dress which looks like it was sewn for her, and an antique slip and pantaloons. The two undergarments have matching lace.
Condition: Both of her eyes display some cracking at the outer edges. Her arms have been completely replaced. The torso is showing some age wear. There\'s some glue residue under her arm pits. Her glued on wig is coming loose in areas and there\'s some lifting and glue residue at the front.
Her clothes are in very good condition. The antique slip has a couple small dots of age related discoloration. One tassel is missing from one bootie.
We believe she was made in Germany, but no maker\'s marks were found.
She\'s a nice large doll which displays wonderfully.
