Antique Victorian Interior Door w/4 Raised Panels
Large,antique,interior door salvaged froman old home in SouthEastern Minnesota. The door is made of either solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a traditional,Victorian style, 4-panel arrangement with 4, longer,vertical panels above 2shorter, vertical panels. The panels are raised on both sides.Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection ofperiod hardware to outfit the door (check out our store).

Uneven Height:
The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1\" at some point, most likely tocompensate for the home\'s settling foundation or a warped floor. We could cutthe door to an even 87 1/2\"W, cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make itbigger--emailus for a quote.
Condition:Considering that the door is over 100 years old, it\'s in good shape. It doeshave plenty of cosmetic blemishes from top to bottom (see close up photos), andif you prefer a distressed look, the door is perfect as is. However, if you wanta cleaner look, after some sanding and filling with wood putty, most of thecosmetic blemishes will be removed, and once stained or painted, they willeither be invisible or barely noticeable.
The door is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service.
Refinish/Repaint:Wecould refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare itfor you to repaint or refinish.Seethe last photos in this sale as an example of our work.Emailus with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you aquote.
Swing: Thehinge mortises span the thickness of the door, which means that you could putyour hinges on either side of the door and define its swing.
Modification: We could also modify this door to fit youropening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add tothe height or width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email uswith a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you aquote.
