HUNTER inc., of Westminster, Colorado,  has been around since 1952.  Hunting and sports enthusiasts have counted on HUNTER for high quality holsters, gun cases and shooting accessories.-

Most of the products they have made over the years are still in use today, standing as testimony to the value of skilled craftsmanship and premium materials.-

They make a nice front line product, not much for frills, but durable.  They have copied and improved from the best and are one of the most widely distributed brands around. -

Hunter is still in business today and going strong...you can find their current product line on the net.

 

This is for a NEW, in the Box, now vintage, HUNTER BRAND leather shoulder gun holster in NATURAL TAN LEATHER.  This was advertised as their SPRING SHOULDER HOLSTER and was a company mainstay for 35 years.

This is a RIGHT HANDED draw holster.

A generation out of production, this is a classic and timeless vertical carry design, made by many companies at the time.  The Hunter MODEL 33-30 design offered, was more versatile than most on that they used a FULL V SPRING for retention and had a tension adjustment screw in the muzzle area.

  The full spring held most of the length of the gun. A pocket at the muzzle tip retains the barrel if needed. This allowed for some wider configurations of guns to be successfully used and safely held in the holster without a retention strap. 

 

With a smooth oil finish, which is hand rubbed and sealed, the holster is made from TOP GRAIN cowhide with an elastic offside strap.

A belt loop and snap anchors the holster for stability and to limit swing as you move. 

The harness is a Y TYPE.  The holster yoke is made of a solid and wide leather strap to support the weight of the gun.  The top is finished, the back side is brush sueded.  The suede finish helps limit holster slippage and movement on your shoulder.  This yoke has several size adjustments accomplished by old time leather laces.

The offside is elastic web nylon and is also adjustable for size with a small slide buckle and is machine washable.  Included is the Hunter belt loop piece, the strip of leather that attached to you off side belt for greater stability and strength.
You can also use this for a accessory strip for a knife or extra cylinder or speedloader case.

 These holsters are flexible in expansion and versatile to fit a variety of revolvers with the primary measure the gun length and only somewhat the frame size.

 Old Hunter specifications state this is the TRUE APPLICATION made to fit MEDIUM FRAMED DOUBLE ACTION or SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS with up to a 6\" barrel.
