DESCRIPTION:
This listing is for an \"adorable\" child size antique German doll. Incised on the back of her bisque head is \"A 16 M, DRGM 374830.374831. Reference attributes this child doll to Armand Marseille, Germany, 1910+. Measures just a bit under 34\" tall being a bisque socket head that measures over 16-1/2\" around above the brows with tape measure. Body is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers and toes intact, fingers and toes are outlined with red ink for that life like appearance. Body has the \"Original\" finish with some overall wear, scuffs, for being 100 or so years old but a good German body. I had her \"re-strung\" and she displays well sitting or standing with a doll stand. This girl has a sweet expressive face, she has open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, a few line crazing line cracks on the eye lids, she has painted lashes, brown molded brushed stroked brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, accented lips, there is a faint little dimple in her chin. Lovely blush on her \"perfect\" face, I do not see any paint rubs or scratches, her face is lovely. I flashed inside this bisque head and do not see any cracks or hairlines. There is plaster cement inside the head to secure the sleepy eyes on the rocker mount as most doll manufactures do. Her eyes on rocker look old with some past repair, together intact, do not know her past history. Long dark blond synthetic wig with bangs is older vintage, it slips over a pate on her head. Wears vintage Turn of the Century style dress with lace and ribbon accents, it has hooks down the back and is clean and charming with normal wear, there is an attached slip. She wears slip, pantaloons, stockings and pink leather shoes. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
