Up for sale is a lovely, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in NorthEastern Ohio. The door has a solid Birch core with 1/8" Birch veneers, and 18 glass lites.Please don\'t think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door (check out our store).

Condition:
On the exterior side of the door, some pieces of veneer on the bottom of the hinge stile and the lock stile are chipped.On the interior side of the door, a piece of veneer on the bottom of the hinge stile is cracked; and some pieces of veneer on the bottom of the hinge stile and the lock stile are chipped.
Otherwise, this door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches,small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted.Quirks & Considerations: The door\'s height was unevenly cut by 1/4", most likely to accommodate an old warped floor or settling foundation. Refinish/Repaint:We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.See the last photos in this sale as an example of our work.Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
Swing: The door is currently set up to swing inwards, towards the right. However, we can modify the door to swing in the opposite direction. --Email us for a quote.
Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
