Our CTS® pots are specially designed and are NOT the same as sold by our competitors. We had CTS® make our pots with a custom designed audio taper as well as tighten the tolerance to ± 9%. On our CTS® 500K pots, we raised the overall resistance to 550k guaranteeing both consistent performance and specs. For example, these tighter specs assure that you will never have a 500k pot with a resistance under 500k, nor higher than 599k. On our CTS® 250K pots, we raised the overall resistance to 275k guaranteeing both consistent performance and specs. For example, these tighter specs assure that we will never have a 250k pot with a resistance under 250k, nor higher than 299k.
