These are so precious. I\'ve had them in dry and dark storage for MANY years. They are made out of the type of a soft sort of ceramic like putz sheep are made from, I think. They measure, from about 2 1/8\" to 2 3/8\" tall. As is typical on these, the little metal legs are fragile (these are pretty old) and you should be able to see in pics: paint wear, some bending on legs, upturned toes. The do stand on their own with feet but the rooster has one leg that swivels and is a bit loose - I haven\'t touched it too much but it could come out with a pull; does stay pretty firmly in place as it is. The hand painted areas are really nice, 98% of the paint is there and fully intact. There are a few tiny flecks that I mention for accuracy; scattered teeny tiny flecks on black bird, one tiny paint fleck on beak of brown and black, and the rooster does have two tiny nicks on the end of his tail. These issues are nearly negligible and do not detract from pleasing visuals. I think the feet are made of softer lead metal; I\'ve seen legs on other ones that look to be in similar condition.
