This listing is for a set of 4 Adams English transfer-ware staffordshire porcelain romantic Valentine Day plates. The plates measure 9 1/4 inches in diameter.

Each plate features a different romantic courting scene with a young finely dressed men and women. The edge of the plates have a fancy raised porcelain design of leaves and flowers and a scalloped rim. The back of each plates has a heart that reads in the center \"WILL YOU BE MINE\". The back also is stamped with the makers mark and reads \"ADAMS EST. 1657 ENGLAND RD. 846796\"

The set is in overall very good condition, but a few do have some age appropriate glaze crazing.
