Description This is a 40.6 inch 1050 carbon steel Non Sharpened Japanese Iaido Katana. This Katana has a perfect balance. The blade comes full tang and unsharpened. This sword is perfect for practice of Iaito.
  • Blade: The blade of the sword has been constructed from 1055 carbon steel. An aesthetic hamon runs down the edge of the blade and a Bohi has been added to the blade in order to lighten it and provide audible response when swung. The unsharpened with a rounded off edge. The balance of blade is perfect.
  • Saya: The Saya is constructed from wood with a high gloss black finish. A black silk Sageo has been wrapped around the wooden Kurigata.
  • Guard: The Habaki is a one piece brass construction. The guard is a Musashi Ring design constructed from metal.
  • Tsuka: The Fuchi & Kashira are both made of metal. The Tsuka core is wooden with black samegawa. Two black Menuki are on each side of the Tsuka, which also features black silk itomaki.
  • NOTE: This sword is for practice only. If you are looking for the sharpened version, it would cost extra $20.
