HOWDY & THANKS for LOOKING.We have herean Extremely rare BLENKO ART GLASS FLOOR DECANTER designed by Joel Philip Myers in 1965, design # 6535 in a RARE and beautiful color known as PEACOCK which was a color used for only two years in 1965 & 1966. Peacock is a combo or teal green and blue and finding this decanter bottle in this color is extra rare. This decanter is one of the most sought after and coveted pieces of Blenko Glass one can have in their collection and having one of these in Peacock just that much more special.This is easy to identify in books on Blenko Glass and it\'s unsigned which is 100% normal and to be expected and we Guarantee this to be an authentic piece of Blenko glass from WEST VIRGINIA. This is BIG and commanding measures in total, about 39.5\'\' tall. Without the stopper the bottle is about 29\'\' tall. The flame stopper is about 12.3\'\' tall. Across the middle its 10.5\" across. The bottom has a rough pontil mark as it should have. As this is made in in 2 pieces we will describe the condition of both pieces. First the decanter bottle itself. In short its in Excellent ~ MINTY~Condition!There are no chips, dings, nicks, cracks or repairs. This interior is very clean and not sick or cloudy. There are a few minor light random surface scratches from it resting on its side on time they are very hard to see or even feel and it could be buffed out if wanted but it is not necessary and only covers a couple of square inches. That\'s the only \'\'flaw\'\'. We would give this a mid 9 out of 1O as to over all condition.Next the stopper, it is original to the piece and fits perfectly as the color matches. The surface of the glass is outstanding with ONE exception the very tip of the flame stopper is chipped, see photos. The loss DOES NOT touch the hollow air space at the top and it could be polished but the chip is visible from only one side so one need only spin the stopper around to not see it. That is the only flaw with the stopper we know of. We collect Fine glass and know HOWto INSPECT it for flaws or damage. We did aVERY Careful VISUAL andTOUCH examof this. We ran our finger onALL surfaces, around the rims, both inside and out and around the base & bottom. Wefelt for any nicks or flaws and we have tried to describe it as it really is.We tapped this w/ our finger to make sureit RANG LIKEa BELL, which is what you want to hear, so you knowthere are NO HIDDEN cracks. If it were cracked it wouldthud & not ring. The glass interior is very clean is not sick and it was never used to hold liquids. There is a little wear to the bottom / base, which is normal and expected. This is a GREAT DISPLAY piece and a rare find. We only know of one other one of these on the internet one in GREEN and the price is $2,OOO.
