40000) Rare WWII Aviators Flight Log Book USMCSquadron 413 1st Marine Air Wing. This is a WWII Aviators Flight Log Book USMCMarine corps Squadron 413 1st Marine Air Wing Military. This is named toPaul W. Schumaoher Navigator Bomber and is has all kinds of entrees. This isPBJ’s (B-25). This shows bomb runs a lots of heckling missions. These originalAviators Flight Log book tell the factual story of WWII history by time anddate and are so rare. The squadron was activated on March 1, 1943, as MarineBombing Squadron 413 (VMB-413) at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NorthCarolina. On December 1, 1943, the squadron completed their training at MCASCherry Point and from there moved to the West Coast until finally leaving fromNaval Air Station North Island on January 3, 1944. They arrived at EspirituSanto on January 27, 1944, and remained there until March 7, 1944, when theywere sent to Stirling Island in the Treasury Islands. While stationed there thesquadron flew a few night-time heckling missions against the Japanese garrisonsat Kahili, Bougainville and Rabaul until July 1944 when they moved back toEspiritu Santo. During that time the squadron lost five aircraft along with 32crewman. In July 1944, VMB-413 began operating from Munda from where they beganto raid both Kahili and Choiseul on a regular basis until October 18, 1944 whenthey moved to Emirau. From there they ran missions against Japanese forces inNew Ireland and New Britain until the surrender of Japan in August 1945.This is a well documented Squadron. The book has about 170 to 200 entrees. Thisis a nice Squadron history. This is all original with all original handwritingfrom Schumaoher Navigator Bomber. This comes with Schumaoher Combination scorebook for rifle shooting. This also has his entrees. The condition is used withsome age. This is solid. This should display nicely.
