Welcome to Jewel Box :-)

This necklace belonged to the Aunt of the person i bought this from. The Aunt was born in 1890! The necklace is wired with the finest little hand carved mother of pearl beads app 3.5 to 4 mm. Some of the beads, as you can see are cut right to the brass wire.

Over 42 inches long . In good original antique to vintage condition, the necklace has not been cleaned.

Any boxes, mannequins or fabrics are for display only. This item has not been made by Mappin & Webb. The box is a prop. Everything is photographed in natural light with a flash. We do not enhance colours but there could be difference between browsers etc. If you need an item to be a specific colour please ask before offerding. We try to keep postage costs down, please do not be unfair in your star appraisal, we recycle wherever possible but even sellotape costs money.

Although we do combine shipping, if this is your first time buying from us then it may be better to limit yourself and if you are happy with your purchase and our service then to come back for more. Up to £50 thereafter we can either split and combine to another £50 or Special Delivery whichever works out better for you and we do post international but we will only send items Tracked. You are welcome to wait and shop for 2 weeks to make this a more affordable proposition. If you are interested in any items which do not currently have international shipping offered just let us know and we will change the settings. In the case of multiple purchases please wait for your invoice so we can charge you the correct postage.

We do accept returns for anything that we have not described correctly but in the case of change of mind we will not be able to refund the initial postage cost. We are human beings and on occasion will probably make a mistake but will do everything we can to resolve one if it happens.

A bit about me : i worked for many years in the Antiques Trade specialising first in antique clothing and Textiles and then i specialised in Art Deco and Art Nouveau, generally glass and sculpture an metal ware. i stood at many of the top fairs eg Olympia, Claridges, The Dorchester, The NEC and bought and sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams. i appeared on TV a few times as an Expert and so on. i gave up the Material World for a number of years whilst i concentrated on Meditation, Healing and other Spiritual endeavours but am now selling on to pay the rent :-) i really do love the pieces that pass through my hands and i enjoy \'meeting\' people across the globe and feel good making them feel good. i try to follow the Reiki precepts ~ one of which is \'To earn an honest living\'.
