Circa 1870-1900, this magnificent pedestal is a one of a kind piece of art. Made with onyx, marble, gilt bronze and champleve enamel, this pedestal was made to attract attention......and it does.The craftsmanship and artistry are unmatched. Beneath the upper platform, it is stamped \'Depose Fizel Aine\'\'. It measures 45\" high and the square green onyx plinth suspending over a cast gilt bronze capital, above a champleve collar issuing the onyx column , set into a conformingly cast feet, raised on onyx and red marble.
