Up for saleare a pair of items from the46th Infantry (Regiment) New York National Guard. One item is a14K gold medal with the name J.H.REDPATH engraved on the medals bar.I believe this was from the 1880s-1890s. It weighs approximately 5.0 grams and measures 1 9/16 inches tall x 1 inch wide. This gold medal is not marked but was tested and is definitely 14K gold. The crossed infantry badge has the number 46 soldered on top matching the gold medal. The crossed riflesmeasure1 1/2 inches tall and approximately2 9/16inches wide.The pin functions properly on both pieces. No makers marks.A nice pair ofN.G.S.N.Y.
