There are about 50 vintage pieces of ephemera in this lot today. All of them are just miscellaneous pieces I’ve been saving up from various estate sales. I don’t have time to go into detail about any of the items but will try and give a brief description of each and please ask any questions before offerding as this is a “buy as is” sale. About ½ of the items are journals or diaries, then about ½ are miscellaneous pieces of ephemera. Following is a brief description of most of the items and in no particular order (Please note that the small tablet in the photo that says “Ledger” is not in this lot. I scanned it by mistake)…..

1) 1928-32 Handwritten 5 year diary. Most of the first three years have steady entries then it gets a little more sporadic after that. I see the town name of Cortland mentioned quite a bit. This diary has no cover and starting in November there is some water damage but the writing can still be read.

2) 1873 handwritten diary with steady entries up to May 6th then it’s blank. Written on the front page of the diary it says, “Richard Colwell Chemung County N.Y. Wellsburg is his home when he is there. That is all.”

3) 1929 diary with just the first few pages written on. Belonged to Chas. Williams of Boston Mass.

4) 1930 diary belonging to Eileen Van Eaton of Salem Oregon. This one is about ½ full of handwritten entries. Some are later entries too up to about 1934.

5) 1924 diary belonging to R. Williams of Brooklyn. About ½ full of miscellaneous handwritten notes.

6) 1909 diary also belonging to Charles Williams only this one says Gloucester Mass. ¾ full of handwritten miscellaneous notes.

7) 1904 diary about ½ full with miscellaneous entries.

8) Red “My Trip” diary. 1971. Only about 17 pages of short entries.

9) Green notebook and in the front it says “Family List of Stocks, Bonds, Bank Accounts and Insurance.” About 20 handwritten pages. Not sure who the family was.

10) Art Nouveau Photo album. No photos. Large measuring 9” x 16” and the cover is coming loose from the binding. Spine ripped.

11) 1922 Handwritten diary with a full entry on every page.

12) 1929 handwritten trip diary with 20 handwritten pages. Looks like a trip to Florida on board the S. S. Seminole.

13) 1927 autograph album belonging to a Mazie Ballard. Full of simple handwritten notes and signatures.

14) Photo album with 47 black and white photos from the 1920’s. The person I purchased this from said he believed she use to be an actress but I can’t confirm that as I’ve done no research on the piece.

15) 14 1920’s loose photos. All seem to be from the same person.

16) 2 CDV photos with a Rockwood (N.Y.) photographer name on the back.

17) New S. S. United States Ocean Liner Postcard. Unused.

18) 1887 handwritten letter with a wonderful vignette of a man riding a high-wheeled bicycle.

18) Cunard Line Cabin slip. I have no idea if this is original or a reproduction.

19) Three either engravings or hand drawn pictures. I can’t tell which and I’m not an expert in this field.

20) Three engraved photos of prominent men with what looks like to be an original signature of the engraver Max Rosenthal.

There are more items but that should give you a good idea of what to expect with this lot.
