50s Large Original Fiberglass Bullet Planter with wood legs:
$79.00
Large size original fiberglass planter with brass-colored metal tips on wood tri-pod legs from the 1950s with wonderful period googie/flower design.
Top diameter: 15-3/4\"Height: 18-1/2\"
Please inspect photos .Perfect for your (plastic) rubber tree plant or ficus. ^.^
(Planter will not hold water now).
This planter is well used and has the following issues:Legs bolts are rusted on the inside -- legs twist round and round but don\'t wobble.Smallish chip on top edge.Discoloration on one part of top edge.Discoloration on inside at bottom.Flower design appears to have a smear that looks like a manufacturing flaw.
By the time you have a plastic tree or plants and moss tucked into this \"Glimpse into American Mid Century\" you will barely or not at all see the chip or discoloration. (Note: I have used 2 bricks in the bottom to keep the planter weighted down when putting in an artificial tree).
Don\'t forget! Plastic indoor plants became the rage 1958-61. You could buy them at the supermarkets with brown-tinted plaster holding them in long low ceramic planters.
All in all, still a cool decorating item.If you can find one ^.^
