6 LARGE 8\" VINTAGE GERMAN \"WELLNER PATENT 90 - 45\" SILVERPLATE SERVING SPOONS:

Acquired in Berlin, Germany by a family member during the 1950\'s,
and now offered for your own silverware collection,
a nice group of 6 large vintage German Wellner Silverplate Serving Spoons.The production of silverplated cutlery on an industrial level
began in Germany in the middle of the 19th century.These particular serving spoons are marked:WELLNER PATENT 90 (in a circle) and 45 (in a square).The 90 means that these spoons had a normal silverplate applied,
then an additional 45 grams of fine silver were also used.

Each large, and heavy serving spoon measures 8 1/4\" long,
and the combined weight of all six spoons is 374 grams or 13.2 oz.One of the spoons is not quite as shiny as the rest and has developed a slight matte finish.They are all in very good condition with normal wear for their age,
and would make a very nice addition to any vintage silverware collection.
