Seven Antique Brownfield & Sons Staffordshire Transferware Cyprus salad Plate 7\"

These plates are described as glazed earthenware in the Cyprus pattern

with transfer printed decoration.

Thiscrisply printed transfer ware platefeatures a g

eometric movement pattern in rich colors of orange,

brown and blue with copper luster against a white background.

The back is off white with brownish splotches.

There aretwo illegible impressed marks in the center of the back.It has a flower & scroll pattern.It has \"Brownfield & Sons, \"Trademark\" and \"Cyprus\" in a banner logo backstampon the back.It has the item # 8899 in red paint: with 6 just under it.

It is 1” talland 7.5\" wide. It appears to be in very good condition.I do not see any cracks.A few tiny raised spots on the outside ring seem original flaws, not from damage.

The back looks smooth to the naked eye though using a loupe, you see tiny crackling throughout.

This plateisfrom the Aesthetic Movement Era.

This pattern is in a collection at the Brooklyn Museum.

There is some small chips on the rim on two of the plates

They are seven plates in this offering

three do not have the brown Cypurus mark on the back. but are th same design,

and have the 8899-6 in Orange.

Two other plates have the Cyprus mark but have rough rims, ( lots of small little chips) but no crakes.

These plates are very old.

and well kinda a mixed lot. if you would like more photos I\'m happy to do that.
