This is avery rare early Ruth Gibbs (RG) Godey\'s Little Lady white china doll signed RGon the back shoulder plate. She is just precious with her little brown woolyarn fuzzy friend she has tied to her waist with a yellow satin ribbon bow. Shehas beautifully painted facial features that include; brown painted hair withviolet blue eyes, black lashes, red dotted nose, rosy cheeks and red lips. Shehas a handmade tag (not a Ruth Gibbs)on the hem of her slip that reads \"Godey\'s Little Lady-Brownie - Ruth Gibbs Inc. Flemington NJ. Her outfit includes; yellow organdydress with a pleated yellow satin ribbon ruffle hem adorned with a yellow netand yellow/tan shimmering frosted berries tied with a yellow satin ribbon bow,whitefuzzycotton felt hat with yellow net bow and yellow/tan shimmering frostedberries tied with a yellow satin ribbon bow at the chin, white net slip, andwhite organdy bloomer style undergarment trimmed in lace. Her shoes are paintedin brown that have no rubs. She is a gorgeous doll in excellent condition. All original, never had her clothing removed.Shewas a special order doll and has the name BROWNIE written on her dress in gold.Included are documents about the history of the Ruth Gibbs dolls, also a copy of the pamphlet that came with these dolls. I think she is one of a kind. My mother really thought she was special.
