This is an early 1980\'s Eureka Roto Matic in the very hard to find navy color. It is VERY STRONG!!! Let me repeat, it has great suction, as it should, its a 4.0 Horsepower vacuum. As some people know, its actually too powerful for me! My carpets are extremely clean from the tremendous power that this has.
The machine really looks and acts like new, but there are a few items I would like to mention as I don\'t want you to view this and think its 100% perfect. The machine and the on board tools as you can see are awesome and look new, though they are used. The entire machine was given a spa treatment and cleaned and sanitized!
Issues I have found, but don\'t disturb the workings of the machine are: The hose is taped (see pics) with white duct tape in 3 spots. Two spots in the usual places that leaking occurs (at either end) and the spot where the wire that attaches to the main unit for the power nozzle to work. Again, it works fine, it looks good, but it isn\'t perfect. I don\'t see any reason for a new hose, but one may opt for that!
The power nozzle is in mint condition as well, but when you take it from the upright position to the usable lower position, its sometimes hard, you have to press down a little harder than usual. It could need a little grease by the wheels as Im told and should be like new, but I leave that up to the buyer. And if you vacuum low pile carpet or very thick carpet I have found that you MUST reduce the suction on the inlet on the hose because its too strong and will pull your carpet, it gets hard to push back and forth then. Like I said before, its powerful!
I hope my pics are good. Taken with an iphone. All I can say is YES, the vac is stunning, it sounds amazing, it has most definitely been VERY WELL cared for, but again, it does have its few flaws!
