Pair Antique Cherry Pocket Doors w/Long Etched Glass Lites & 3 Panels
One-of-a-kind, grandpair ofantique, exterior doors, salvaged from a historic home in Manhattan, New York. Eachdoor has a solid cherry core with 1/4\" oak veneers on one side and 1/4\" cherryveneers on the other, has 3 panels (1 recessed & 2 raised), and 2 long etchedglass lites.
Unfortunately, one of the etched glass lites is broken. We could replace justthe broken lite or replace all to keep them uniform--email us for aquote.. If you want to replace the glass, we will discount theprice of the doors by $150.
Although these doors were originally installed as pocket doors, they couldeasily be converted to swing--email us for a quote.
Hardware:The doors are currently equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selectionof period hardware in our store and tons more in our physical store.
* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood--emailus for a quote.Condition: On the exterior side of one of the doors, there is acrack on the top of the hinge stile.
On the exterior of the second door, there is a long scrape along the top railand another along the to portion of the hinge stile. There is a break on thebottom of the lock stile.
Otherwise, these doors are in very good shape with only small chips, scrapes,and scratches--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed duringthe finishing process, or disguised after a fresh coat of paint.
Quirks & Considerations: The lock stile edges of each doorwere roughly cut, and the height of the doors was unevenly cut at some point tocompensate for a leaning foundation or warped floor. We could fix the roughlycut edges as well as even the height, or even make the doors shorter/narrower ortaller/wider--email us for a quote.
Refinish/Repaint: We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip thedoor to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. See the last photo in thissale as an example of our work. Email us with a smalldescription of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
Modification: We could also modify these doors to fit youropening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add tothe height or width, install glass, replace glass with wooden panels, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email uswith a small description of what you would like done, and we\'ll give you aquote.
