A gorgeous Meissen porcelain magpie resting on a tree stump base, with little flowers and leaves. Naturalistically modelled with beautiful peacock colours running through the tail feathers. Head facing to the right. After the model by J J Kandler. Blue crossed swords mark to base, impressed number A287 and FOREIGN printed on base. A beautiful, quality piece to add to any Meissen or porcelain collection. Weighs 174g. I also have the left facing Meissen magpie and a large Meissen parrot for sale.
Worldwide postage with the cheaper Royal Mail service can only be insured for £250 maximum. Parcel force worldwide costs more but will cover full insurance for item.DIMENSIONS: 8\" high, 4\" widest part of magpie from beak to wing tips, 2\" across base. DATE: Circa 1934 CONDITION: This Meissen magpie is in excellent condition.
