These vintage sterling silver dessert plates have elegant repousse’

embossed borders with tall urns, curvy ribbons with large bows, and small flowers.

Thin bands of swags border the wider motif.

Each plate is 6 ¼” wide and ½” deep.

The recessed center well is smooth with an engraved script R monogram.

(These can be buffed out by a professional, if desired).

The marks on the undersides are a diamond enclosing “MHR” with the word “STERLING” and the number “6”.

We believe the monogram is that of the M. Fred Hirsch Company of New Jersey and date to about 1930.

Condition is fine, just a few light scuffs and smudges.

There are not dents, cracks, pits, holes, crimps or repairs.

Total weight of the set is approximately 631 grams or more than 20 troy ounces.
