Up for sale is a set of 8 vintage LimogesFrance Handpainted Bowls. THIS PATTERN IS EXTREMELY RARE and the ONLY ONES ON! Each saucer has a butterflies, flowers, and leaves with an ADORABLE lute player in the middle. The shape of eachdish is scalloped. Marked on the underside with the Limoges cursvie L, Limoges,and Handpainted. They could be Limoges Haviland, but I am not positive. Theedge of the bowl is bordered with a scalloped yellowish-green and blue lines.The daisy flowers are done in yellow and red with yellow aund red centers. Thebutterflies/dragonflies are done in blue and yellow and accented in brown. I donot know the exact age of these, but they are old. There are flea bites/verysmall unfinished areas of the bowls...I triedto include pictures of them. I believe that perhaps this was there when theywere made since they are handpainted.
