800 SILVER DESSERT SPOON SET VINTAGE 1960s BORRI ARGENTO ITALY CAKE ICE CREAM:

Stunning hallmarked, 7 piece dessert or ice cream set, includes 6 spoons, and one server in original presentation box. Most likely dates from the 1960\'s. Box has wear and shows it\'s age. Lining has some smudges from the tarnish on the silver, and some areas that were glued seams are coming apart. (Can be re-glued) Cutlery in excellent condition, with a few scratches here and there on handles. Handles of all pieces are 800 silver, bowls appear to be stainless steel. Hollow handles are decorated with an outlined edge of dots and scrolls. Quite lovely. They are marked 800 and also 38VC. After a bit of research it seems this mark was registered to G Borri of Borri & Schiavina, located in the town of Vercelli, Italy. Company was registered 28/05/1963 and was active in 1971. No information after that. This item was recently purchased at an estate sale and is being sold in as found condition. Will need a bit of polishing when it arrives at it\'s new home. Reasonable offers welcome.
