This sale is for a set of 92 pieces of Oneida Community EVENING STAR pattern silverplated flatware. This pattern dates in my reference books from 1950. The lot consists of 12 - 7 piece place settings including double teaspoons plus 10 serving pieces and a very nice single drawer Naken brand storage chest. Condition is EXCELLENT. These pieces have been used but show only light scratching. There is no edge or plate wear...no monograms, bending or dents.....no noticeable damage except one of the knives has a detached blade....it is not damaged however and should be an easy repair by a jeweler. There also appears to be 2 teaspoons missing....should be 24, but there are only 22.
The silverware storage chest is also in EXCELLENT condition with only a few surface scratches and is perfect inside with no tears or damage of any kind....the outside is oak in an arts and crafts, mission oak dark tone and features a lower, 1 drawer storage space for serving and extra pieces. The box measures 16\" by 12\" by 8\".
This set appears to have been used only for special occasions. I have carefully polished the set for you to check for condition and it is now ready to use. This is a SUPER set with lots of life left in it in a very popular floral pattern...... great to add to any collection and a lovely and elegant additon to any table! (**Please excuse any brown lines or spots you see in my pictures......shiny pieces are very hard to photograph and the lines and spots are just a reflection of the beams and lights on my ceiling where I take my pictures.)
