A 1.20 METRE LENGTH OF UNUSED VICTORIAN BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE WITH ROSES:

A 1.20 metre length of Victorian unused Brussels point de gaze lace with raised roses. It is the most beautiful, high quality lace with mode fillings and the raised rose petals are double. There are also a variety of flowers and leaves and some of the smaller flowers have raised perle centres. There are two pieces, this one and a longer piece (which is listed separately) and they came with a small piece of paper stating that both pieces cost £20, probably in the 1920s, but I can\'t be sure. The lace is 3 1/2\" (9cm) deep, not including the 3/8\" (1cm) engrelure. It is in very good vintage condition and I have not noticed any breaks, but there is a rust spot on this piece, shown in the last photograph. It is 5\" (13cm) in from one end. Both ends have been cut. I am happy to post abroad. I am listing the lace with the Global Shipping Programme.
