ITEM DESCRIPTION

This sale is for a very beautiful and unusual antique 19thC slipware pottery vase.

Dating to 1844.

Sourced by me a short drive from Buckley so may be Welsh but it is so unusual that I have struggled to attribute it so its not impossible it may also be Staffordshire or from another slipware making region.

The trailing is especially good and the inscription is rather unusual and makes it a special piece -

Measures 7.5 inches/19cm tall.

Excellent condition, a little bit of natural fritting to the trailing thankfully mostly to the reverse of the vase, there is four or five very very minor short stress lines to the rim which have occurred with time and not later damage.

Such a special piece.
