Didier Nicolas (1757-1833), this great maker was one of the largest names of French lutherie, whose workshop D. Nicolas Ainé became

one of the most successful violin companies of Mirecourt in France.

Lovely French instrument - ready to play.

No soundpost cracks, only some minor table repair (see pictures), some varnish wear due to the age/usage.(see pictures).

One-piece maple back with beautiful flames, similar ribs and stunning headstock and neck, original brown varnish.
