(CIVIL WAR LETTER). ALS. 4pg. 5” x 8”. June 18 [1864]. 27 WallStreet. A partial autograph lettersigned by a man who worked at 27 Wall Street.It is addressed to a colonel: “Ireceived your note 15 minutes since…the enthusiasm for predicted case to pass. My cap has been in the air figuratively eversince, and I have been shaking hands, a imagination, a great many time with you& Col. Rockwell. I congratulate youtremendously. I also congratulate yourmother…also President Lincoln, also the Secretary of War, also Lieut. GenlGrant, also Genl. Meade, also Genl. Butler, also Genl. Banks, also Genl.Sherman, also the Colonel of the 8th Connecticut, also the 6thComt. itself…”. The letter is infine condition.
