Description: Walter Geikie, RSA (Royal Scottish Academy), (1795-1831). This rare etching is from \"Etchings Illustrative of Scottish Character and Scenery by the late Walter Geikie, RSA\" - Sir Thomas Dick Lauder\'s Edition with additional plates and letterpress. It was published in Edinburgh, Scotland, by William Paterson in 1885 using his original plates. This was a Limited Edition of 366 copies. From No. 360 of the 366. The paper is cream colored, water marked and of very good quality. Blank verso. Page size is 9\" x 11\". The plate hasits number butno title on the plate. All of these images were first drawn by Geikie, from life, in and around Edinburgh and depict real people and places of the time. He etched the plates a bit later. Image area approx.: 3\" x 5\" (+-).
