A. E. JONES SILVER COIN DISH Birmingham 1937 GEORGE III Cartwheel Penny 1797
Vintage sterling silver coin bowl by A. E. Jones with full hallmarks for 1937. The coin is a King George III period copper cartwheel penny dated 1797. The silver bowl has a \'hammered\' finish.
Maker mark: AEJ ( A. E. Jones); lion silver mark; Birmingham assay office mark; date letter N for the year 1937.
It measures just over 3½ inches diameter.
Weight: 3.81 troy oz (118.7g) overall including the coin.
Very good condition but there is a tiny ding to the top rim (see photo).
