A Fine Quality Sadeli Anglo Indian Sewing Box

This Anglo Indian box is constructed from sandal wood

it has a sarcophagus form

the box finely carved has been on every panel

with entwined flora and fauna with mythical creatures

on the edges has been embellishedwith the sadeli inlay ,

the top opens to reveal a velvet lined interior

carved lidded compartments and bobbins inlaid with sadeli work

this type of work was made in Bombay India ,

there are some losses to some of the sadeli work .

33cm x 24cm x 12.5cm.

All items are described to the best of my knowledge , all items are antique and will show signs of

age and due to the age of the items a percentage would had restoration.
