A Finely Engraved Mid-Late 19th Century Flat Tin Soldier Slate Mold:

A rare early flat Tin Soldier mold engraved in a block of slate - mid to late 19th century. I don’t know who the maker was but the figure looks to be about 40mm Scale - in those days the figures were rarely signed. The figure is still in sharp relief and finely engraved and represents (I believe) a Prussian Light infantryman firing a rifle. A few chips to the edges of the slate have no impact on the engraving. A nice and really unusual piece of history. See photos for additional details.
