The interesting and unique decoration of this plate combines organic and geometric elements distinctive of the 20\'s and 30\'s. Individual expression of the \"Depression\" mood found its way in many hand painted plates like this one. Artist has not been identified. The blank is unmarked but is probably French. The raised narrow wall has a lustre exterior. The gilt decoration is outlined in black against a light blue background. The plate has some light scratches. Overall, it is is in excellent condition. No chips cracks or repairs. It is 11 3/4\" in diameter.
